Mobile Passport

Mobile identity for border processing, built in cooperation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and operated by us. What began as immigrating by phone became a wallet for government-verified IDs, used by millions of travellers.

The partnership behind Mobile Passport began in 2009 at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California. Shared values, shared humour, and trust from the first meeting onwards — in retrospect it is hard to overstate how much that would come to matter. It became the longest and most intense engagement we have taken on.

The vision was always to change the way people move through the airport environment. It was the idea of turning the lengthy, cumbersome immigration process into something effortless that deserved our full attention and commitment, and Mobile Passport came out of that.

The division of work was obvious. Our partners brought an unrivalled track record in the airport security domain and the operations it involves. Mohemian translated the business requirements into product and technical requirements that met the highest standards of security, scalability and user experience.
